What is a LFRO?
Licensed for Referral Only — a simpler way to hold your real estate license.
A LFRO (Licensed-for-Referral-Only) arrangement lets a licensed agent park their license with a referral-only brokerage. Your license stays active and your continuing education stays current — but you're not actively practicing real estate day to day.
Instead of listing, showing, and writing contracts, you refer clients to active agents who handle the transaction. When a referral closes, you earn a referral fee. No MLS dues, no active-practice overhead, no floor time — just your network, working for you.

Move your active license to AREP as referral-only. You stay licensed; you stop actively practicing.

- $50 / month membership.
- Keep your continuing education (CE) current to maintain your active license.
- When you receive a referral fee, AREP's share is the lower of 10% or $695 per transaction — you keep the rest.
